Making has always been a strong part of who I am. Much of my work comes from a desire to see the objects around us and the materials they are made from interact with each other in ways that highlight the beauty within structure. Professionally trained as an artist, shipwright and fabricator; material is always an extremely important part of my work. I am fascinated with finding different ways in which to treat and compose materials in the pursuit of functional design. From furniture to sculpture, to somewhere in between; the objects that I create transmit my vision for how I want materials and design to play a role in our daily lives.
